How to Book Caregivers on Care4giver

There are 2 ways to book help

OPTION 1
Ongoing Scheduled Help

1. Register your Loved One(s)

  • Each patient/Loved One (LO) has to have her/his own registration form filled.
  • You must enter the patient’s info here because that info (name, address, etc) is what will be used to provide Caregivers the name of the person they serve, where to go, their special needs, etc.
  • If you haven’t already, click on the + (plus) sign and fill the entire form.  It only takes a couple of minutes.

2. Create a Care Team

  1. Click on “SEARCH 4 CARE” 
  2. The Caregiver profiles that you see listed are shown because they are interested in serving in the LO’s area of residence.
  3.  To browse the C4G Caregiver directory you can also use the various filters at the top of the page
  4. Simply go through and evaluate the profiles.  
  5. Click the heart in each of the profiles you wish to add to your Care Team
  6. This will send each of them an invitation to join your Care Team which they can accept or not.
  7. You can also opt to interview the caregivers first by selecting the Interview Request option when you click the heart.  A member of the Care4giver team will coordinate a video call where you can meet the caregiver.
  8. With or without needing an interview, caregivers will need to accept the invitation to your care team in order for you to be able to set a Care Book booking.

3. Create a Bookings Calendar

Once you have Caregivers on your team, you can go ahead and create a calendar.

NOTE:  You will receive email confirmation for each Caregiver that accepts your invitation.  You can also click on CARE TEAM in the menu and you will see that status of your invitations.

  1. Click Care Book on your screen
  2. Using the “Add New” button or directly on the calendar, select the time slots, days of the week and number of weeks ahead of time you wish to book for your client.

3.  Select the days you require going through the guided menu

4.  Make sure to look at each field paying attention to the number of weeks and which days you wish this specific block of time to last.

Note: If you need different hours for different days, you must repeat this step (i.e. 9am to noon can be booked across different days in 1 shot but if you have other days where the shift is from 3pm to 7pm, you must book it separately).

Note:  You can determine a Care Team (primary caregivers) and substitutes (your 2nd choice caregivers) so you can select which group you wish to invite to each Client’s Calendar.

 

  • The payment  is made up-front. The money isn’t spent until the booking has been completed (check-in and check-out done).  The money is deposited in your Care4giver account which you can see by clicking My Account.
  • Select Finish and you’re done
  • The caregivers in your Care Team will be notified and they can immediately accept the various time slots in the Calendar you just created.

OPTION 2
Punctual (Limited-time) Help

1. Register the Loved One(s) that requires help

  • Each patient/Loved One (LO) has to have her/his own registration form filled. 
  • This is the info (name, address, etc) that will be used to provide Caregivers the name of the person they serve, where to go, their special needs, etc.
  • If you haven’t already, click on the + (plus) sign and fill the entire form.  It only takes a couple of minutes.

2. Search the listing for Help

  1. Click on “SEARCH 4 CARE” 
  2. The Caregiver profiles that you see listed are shown because they are interested in serving in the Loved One’s area of residence.
  3.  To browse the C4G Caregiver directory you can also use the various filters at the top of the page
  4. Simply go through and evaluate their profiles.  
  5. Click the name of the caregivers you are interested in booking you will see their detailed profile.  Scroll down to see all the details.

3. Create a booking request

  1. Once you’ve chosen a Caregiver, scroll down to the bottom of their detailed page and you will see their calendar.
  2. Either highlight a time slot directly on the calendar or click on the BOOK NOW button
  3. You will then be able to book a single or many days with the same hours using the guided menu
  • Make sure to look at each field paying attention to the number of weeks and which days you wish this specific block of time to last.

  • You can also opt to interview the caregivers first by selecting the Interview Request option when you click the heart icon you will find on the caregiver’s listing.  A member of the Care4giver team will coordinate a video call where you can meet the caregiver.   Note that the other options you will see with clicking the heart are only functional when using the long-term booking option (as described above).

4. Confirm your booking

  1. At the booking tasks step, simply write each task in the “New Task” box and press enter.
  2. Each task you enter gets listed and will be shared with the caregiver
  3. You can also add special notes at the bottom to help the caregiver know how your love one is doing and particular attention you would like her/him to have.
  4. Next step is to make payment.  Payment is made in advance but not given to the caregiver until the booking has been performed so you’re certain it gets done.
  • Once payment is made, the caregiver is notified of your request and will respond if they accept the booking.
  • Once the caregiver accepts (or refuses) you will be notified by email.
  • Each caregiver is required to check-in and check-out using the Care4giver app.  You will know at what time and how far from your LO’s home both checks happen.
  • Payment is made once check-out is done.  You will not pay more if the CG stays longer (that’s her/his choice) but you could be charged less is the CG leaves early.
